JOB
Summary:
The position involves semi-professional work involving county code enforcement and shelter sanitization and operations; specifically involving animal control and welfare.
Work involves applying technical knowledge for the conducting of shelter sanitization and operations, and the ability to interpret and enforce the county animal control order and state statutes which govern the operation of animal shelters.
Employees in this position regularly exercise judgment in a broad range of duties.
Work is assigned by the division manager or other division supervisor, with instructions and assistance given on unusual or complex problems such as review of ordinances, disease control and animal welfare.
This position is a Sunday-Thursday shift from 8:
00am-4:
30pm OR Monday and Wednesday 8:
00 am - 4:
30pm OR Friday and Sunday 8:
00am to 430pm.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs county shelter maintenance procedures in accordance with the Animal Care Facilities Act, involving feeding, watering, sanitization, and other animal welfare related duties.
Performs county shelter maintenance procedures in accordance with the Animal Care Facilities Act and Division protocols involving shelter facilities sanitization, upkeep and rehabilitation as needed.
Performs grounds maintenance, to include mowing, weed-eating, trash pick-up, snow and ice removal on County animal shelter grounds.
Performs housekeeping maintenance of the Division Administration areas, such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning toilets, and trash removal.
Performs animal sedations as needed, when qualified.
Performs first aid on injured animals, such as splints, tourniquets, blankets and muzzles, and other related medical supplies and equipment.
Assists medically trained staff members with providing medications to animals that sick or injured, when qualified.
Provides daily exercise periods and animal socialization sessions and enrichment sessions as prescribed by the Animal Care Facilities Act, Performs animal intake, medical evaluations, and temperament testing of all animals, as requested.
Assists division administrative staff with customer service and data entry as requested.
Performs minor maintenance on kennels, facilities, shelter equipment and other professional equipment.
Conducts adoption tours and assists customers searching the facility for their lost.
Presents courtroom testimony regarding alleged violations of county and state animal control and animal welfare laws, only when qualified.
Assists field staff personnel with impoundment intake procedures and intake evaluations.
Performs on-the-job training of new personnel, when assigned.
Performs emergency animal shelter operations and daily animal care during disaster response situations as directed, only when qualified.
Performs work at assigned location during specified business hours.
Performs related additional duties as required and assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
